ISPM 15

There are billions of wood packaging shipments sent around the globe every year. To mitigate against the spread of invasive pests that may be present in natural, untreated wood, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN FAO) adopted the ISPM 15 Program. The proper application of these stringent protocols, in conjunction with a methodical inspection system, has effectively mitigated the transport of wood boring pests that threaten native forests.

The Global Wood Packaging Forum advocates for healthy, thriving forests and continues to fully endorse international compliance with ISPM 15.
